Boron supplements with the fewest additives
Boron may help fight osteoporosis, but many brands contain more than just the boron. For example, manufacturers may use silica / silicon dioxide or polyethylene glycol to make manufacturing easier. I try to avoid such excipients when possible. If you want to do the same, my recommendations are:
Recommended boron supplement that's completely free of questionable excipients:
- hypromellose-free / hydroxypropyl methylcellulose-free
- silica-free / silicon-dioxide-free
- PEG (polythylene glycol)-free
Boron (as boron citrate/aspartate/glycinate complex), rice flour, gelatin.
Recommended boron glycinate supplement:
- silica-free / silicon-dioxide-free
- PEG (polythylene glycol)-free
- may contain hypromellose / hydroxypropyl methylcellulose
Boron (as boron glycinate), hypo-allergenic plant fiber (cellulose from pesticide-free Southern pine, probably hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), vegetarian capsule (cellulose from pesticide-free Southern pine, probably hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, water).
